Acaydia is proud to share with you our expert administrative staff and aesthetician instructors. Acaydia understands the vital importance of maintaining a staff that is dedicated to instruct and inspire! Each and every one of our staff members has taken and passed the Acaydia final exam and is required to specifically have a State of Utah Instructor License. They also must provide proof of twelve hours of continuing education credits per year to be in satisfactory standing with Acaydia. Most of our instructors are also employed part-time at other facilities such as medical offices, spas or they own a personal business. This allows our instructors to share real life experiences with our future practitioners in efforts to better prepare them for the industry. Take a minute to become familiar with our staff. Andrea Hulse, School Director
Andrea is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor who founded Acaydia in 2006. With previous management experience in the hospitality and corporate retreat industry, she brings seven years of instructing background and over ten years of aesthetic practice to the school. Andrea’s passion for quality education and specialized treatments often times puts her in demand for advanced training classes at which she jumps for the chance. Andrea is responsible for student admissions, instructor hiring, maintaining compliance with NACCAS and the State of Utah, as well as day to day operations of the school.
Alisha O’Bannon, Spa Director
Alisha is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor who joined Acaydia in early 2007. With experience in spa coordination and administration, Alisha spends the majority of her time in the Acaydia Spa working closely with students, ensuring proper adminstration of services. Alisha is certified in cellulite and body sculpting treatments, microdermabrasion and phototherapy. She has advanced knowledge and training in Acaydia’s exclusive product lines; Sonya Dakar, Glymed, Pure Fiji and Jane Iredale Minerals.
Heather Peay, Student Services Director
Heather is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor, as well as an Acaydia School of Aesthetics alumni. She joined the Acaydia staff in the fall of 2007. Currently working with a plastic surgeon, Heather brings advanced knowledge of medical treatments such as; laser hair removal, photo facials, advanced chemical peels as well as Restalyn and Botox fillers. Heather is a part-time night instructor as well as the Student Services Director. Heather assists with job placement, managing the Acaydia Alumni Blog as well as instructing for state board preparations.
Natasha Simonsen, Education Director
Natasha is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor with significant curriculum development experience. Prior to joining Acaydia, she participated in curriculum development for the Utah State Health Department. Natasha gained practical experience at Rocky Mountain Day Spa in American Fork. She holds a B.S. in Health from Brigham Young University. Natasha manages the school curriculum, student hours, skill advancements as well as compliance with state and NACCAS regulations.
Danielle Carlsen, Artistic Director
Danielle is a certified Makeup Artist and graduate of JLS Makeup School in Hollywood, California. As the Artistic Director of Acaydia, Danielle brings more than eight years of experience as a trainer and freelance artist. She worked at MAC Cosmetics for more than four years and is co-owner of Deuce Makeup Artistry, working on many ad campaigns and commercials. She helped launch Rene fashion magazine and has appeared on Good Day Utah, Spring-Makeover edition.
Anita Geary, Aesthetician Instructor
Anita is a licensed Master Aesthetician, Cosmetologist and Instructor who strives to bring an atmosphere of fun and excitement to students and clients. Anita is a Certified Doula and Master Herbalist. She has advanced training in Lash Extensions, Camouflage Makeup, and Foot Reflexology. Anita previously worked for Aesthetics Plus in Washington before joining Acaydia in 2009.
Elizabeth Bandley, Aesthetician Instructor
Elizabeth is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor, bringing over seven years of experience in the aesthetics industry. With emphasis in hands-on training and a background as a project manager and website marketer for a local skin care company, Elizabeth brings more than just her aesthetic skill to Acaydia but also a business savvy within the skin care market. Having gained the experience of running her own microdermabrasion business out of California and Arizona, Elizabeth understands the industry and its market.
Suzi Cole, Aesthetician Instructor
Suzi is a licensed Master Aesthetician and Instructor with a passion for education in the aesthetics industry. Suzi has advanced training in public speaking and business management. As a licensed aesthetician instructor for the past four years, she is dedicated to delivering curriculum in a profesional and highly motivating environment. Suzi is currently majoring in Biology at Utah Valley University. Her passion for the subject of Biology helps students understand more difficult concepts.
