How old do I have to be to receive a treatment at Acaydia?

All guests receiving treatments at Acaydia must be 18 years or older UNLESS accompanied by a parent or guardian.  

Can I bring my child to the spa to wait while I receive a treatment?

For safety reasons and for the quiet enjoyment we wish to provide each of our guests, we ask you to not bring your children to the spa unless they are receiving a treatment that will be supervised by the parent or guardian.  Thank you for your understanding.

Should I tip the student who performed my service?

Our students are here to gain experiences which prepare them for the industry.  Although gratuity is not required, students appreciate compliments and gladly accept gratuity.  If you choose to leave gratuity, you may hand it directly to the student, or leave it at the front desk upon checkout.  You may also include it on your credit card receipt.  General guidelines for tipping follow that of a typical restaurant.

Is it okay to request a student if I really like the way they perform?

Absolutely.  The best way to compliment our students is to request them upon booking your next treatment!

I’ve never had a spa treatment before, is there anything I should be prepared for?

Whether it’s waxing, a facial or a body treatment you are coming to Acaydia for, rest assured your needs will be taken care of.  Our students are specifically trained to ensure you are comfortable and understand what your treatment involves.  Professional draping methods are carefully followed and an instructor will be observing your practitioner throughout the treatment.  

We want you to get the most out of your treatment. It is recommended that you come 5-10 minutes early for new client paperwork.  Make sure your cell phone is silenced and your voice is kept to a whisper. 

Upon completion of your service(s), the student will leave the room while an instructor examines his/her work.  The instructor will ask you to critique the treatment and give suggestions for improvement.  It is important that we have good feedback from our guests so we can continue to mold outstanding graduates.
