LEVEL I BASIC AESTHETICS
The Basic Course is designed to meet the Utah state requirements for a Basic Aesthetician license. The course spans approximately 18 full time weeks or 36 part time weeks. Hours are accumulated in both the classroom and the spa. Approximately half of the total hours are earned in each category. Students are introduced to history and ancient roots of aesthetics; industry opportunities; professional ideals and image; basic equipment and modalities; anatomy of the skin; nutrition; skin diseases and disorders; basic electrical modalities; physical exfoliations; pharmacology; basic makeup artistry; color theory; and concepts of holistic or alternative skin care. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared for the Utah Basic Aesthetician Licensing Exam, the NIC Practical Exam, as well as the practice of Basic Aesthetics.
LEVEL II MASTER – MEDICAL AESTHETICS
The Level II Master -Medical Course is designed to meet the Utah state requirements for a Master Aesthetician license. The course spans approximately 18 full time weeks or 36 part time weeks. Hours are accumulated in both the classroom and the spa. Approximately half of the total hours are earned in each category. Course Prerequisites: Level I Basic Aesthetics Course/License or Cosmetology License.Students begin at an intermediate aesthetics level with instruction in aging skin; crystal and crystal free microdermabrasion; chemical peeling; full-body lymphatic drainage; light therapy; FDA approved cellulite reduction treatments; body wrapping; advanced product chemistry; advanced disorders and diseases of the skin; plastic and reconstructive surgery; pre and post-operative treatment procedures; ethnic skin treatments; LASER certification; Brazilian waxing; and Camouflage makeup. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared for the Utah Master Aesthetician Licensing Exam, the NIC Practical Exam, as well as the practice of Master Aesthetics.
MASTER – MEDICAL AESTHETICS
The Master – Medical Aesthetics Course provides the most advanced instruction in aesthetics, and is designed to meet Utah state requirements for a Master Aesthetician license. The course spans approximately 36 full time weeks or 72 part time weeks. Hours are accumulated in both the classroom and the spa. Approximately half of the total hours are earned in each category. Students cover all subject matters and skill sets in both the Basic and Master Aesthetics Courses, but a streamlined and progressive orientation allows students extra time to cover subject matter in more depth as well as expand on individual areas of interest. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared for the Utah Master Aesthetician Licensing Exam, the NIC Practical Exam, as well as the practice of Master Aesthetics.
